As a summary we meet twice a month, (1st and 3rd Thursday in town) at 7.30 to discuss the running of our club and planning our fundraising efforts.
Our first meeting deals the correspondence we receive, and planning and discussion of the fundraising events you see on this site. This meeting lasts for about 1 and a half hours.
The second meeting is either a social event or an opportunity for members of the public or groups who are asking for our support to come and “make a pitch” for help. This meeting is more variable in it’s time but not less than an hour.
100% of the funds raised under the Lions banner are charitable funds & are distributed to worthy causes in the community. All Lions pay a small annual subscription, to cover the costs of running the club.
The rest of our Lions work is planning, discussing and organising the fundraising events. Members become involved with and participate in the teams who make our events happen.
