Our Twin Club

About Bad Konigshofen Lions

Louth Lions twin club is Bad Konigshofen Lions in northern Germany.

Louth Lions became involved in the Lions twinning programme when, back in 1982, one of our members was contacted by a member from Bad Konigshofen Lions Club and asked if we could help to provide support to his daughter to improve her English language skills. Through this chance contact, the twinning began.

The young lady came to Louth and attended the King Edward Grammar School, successfully achieving her aim to improve her English language skills. What then followed was remarkable: a student exchange was developed, as well as an annual member exchange. We meet every year, one year we visit them and the following year they visit us in Louth. We entertain them by taking them to various places and having meals out.
